Topher was a little bemused when I came home from the Sun Run pre-race event with a fist full of brochures on other local runs. He says I'll have gone too far when I start organizing our holidays around runs, which I felt was quite funny because I had actually thought to myself, "gee, I wonder if there's a run in Ontario when we go there." Haha. I hope to run one or two more organized 10km runs this year, but am otherwise unsure.

Very true, Ted. I NEVER thought I would be able to run a 10km run in my life (let alone enjoy it). Because I wanted to run the Sun Run though, I set it as a goal and was able to run 10km (stop/start style) in October for the first time. Since October, I've run variable lengths each week (only going to 10km two other times) and knew that I could always walk if I had to. I was able to run the whole race non-stop and I came in 22,382 out of the 54000+ people, which I'm very happy about; it's about progress, not about perfection!

Thanks to you and Warren for believing in me even when I couldn't!
